Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking an order-processing associate to fulfill customer orders accurately and promptly, maintain inventory levels, source products, and assist with quotes and inquiries. The role involves significant time at customer locations and travel as needed.

You will collaborate with branch staff, distribution centers, and suppliers to maximize gross profit, promote Motion Industries’ products to existing customers, expedite backorders, and ensure high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with business systems.
• Good driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders by phone, fax, email, or walk-in.
• Maintain inventory levels for Consignment customers.
• Source products from branch, DC, or supplier inventories.
• Negotiate pricing within parameters to maximize gross profit.
• Promote Motion Industries’ products to existing customers.
• Expedite backorders and handle returns.
• Respond to inquiries and provide quotes.
• Assist accounts with troubleshooting via telephone or email.
• Attend training sessions regularly.
