Job summary

The Custodial Supervisor at Northwest Arctic Borough School District leads field-based custodial service delivery across district schools. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; at least one year custodial experience and one year supervisory experience preferred; informal leadership considered.
• Hands-on floor care experience: stripping, finishing, burnishing, carpet extraction; ability to train others.
• Ability to travel to remote Alaska villages; adapt to weather; flexible hours for projects.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record; English communication and basic digital reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct school visits to inspect custodial work, assess cleanliness, and ensure safety and scheduling adherence.
• Plan and assist with floor care projects: stripping, waxing, scrubbing, buffing, carpet extraction; coordinate timing.
• Inspect inventory and equipment; track supplies; train staff and provide feedback to General Manager.
• Coordinate with the General Manager on priorities, action plans, and project scheduling; escalate issues as needed.
