Job summary

Martinusrail is seeking a Cost Controller to support day-to-day accounting activities under the Senior Accountant. The role includes transactional processing, reconciliations, and reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance. This is a mandatory in-person position based in the Austin office.

Responsibilities include assisting with month-end close, posting journal entries, reconciliations, AP/AR, and audit preparation, with strict adherence to internal controls and policy.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes under the direction of the Senior Accountant.
• Prepare and post journal entries with accuracy and supporting documentation.
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation per policy.
• Support audit preparation by gathering required documentation.
• Adhere to internal controls and company accounting policies.
• Attend in-office collaboration with the accounting team; full-time, in-person attendance at the Austin office.
