Job summary

Ames Construction is seeking a Surveyor to support land surveying for major infrastructure projects on-site. You will read blueprints, prepare boundary descriptions, and coordinate with teams to ensure precise measurements.

Expect to work with GPS, Total Station, and AutoCAD tools, with emphasis on safety and reliability. A high school diploma is required; an associate or bachelor’s in surveying/civil engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; advanced degree preferred.
• Associate or bachelor’s in surveying or civil engineering preferred.
• Experience with surveying field methods and CAD tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare worksheets, plans, and boundary descriptions for construction projects.
• Provide consultation on land development and read blueprints/maps.
• Survey land for project sites and communicate with clients, staff, and crew.
