Job summary

Suffolk Construction in Las Vegas is seeking a Safety Manager to work with the Superintendent and Project Manager to enforce Corporate Safety and Health policies on a project-by-project basis. You will conduct site inspections, lead trainings, perform incident investigations, and ensure regulatory compliance with NFPA, OSHA, and local codes.

The role requires 3–5 years in construction health and safety and active training credentials.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of construction safety experience; strong knowledge of federal/state regulations and local codes.
• Bachelor's in Construction or Safety preferred but not required; willingness to pursue CHST.
• OSHA Outreach Trainer certification is required/targeted; CPR training provided.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections and record conditions using Predictive Solutions.
• Coordinate, schedule, and facilitate subcontractors' Pre-Construction Safety Planning Meetings.
• Lead OSHA compliance activities and training including OSHA 10/30, HAZWOPER, and related topics.
• Investigate accidents and collect incident reporting forms and documentation.
• Collaborate with Regional Risk Manager to identify trends and plan risk mitigation.
• Review subcontractor Site Specific Safety Programs and Job Hazard Analyses before mobilization.
• Ensure proper training of subcontractor personnel per scope of work.
