Job summary

Everus Construction Group, Inc. is seeking a safety-focused professional to promote a culture of safety at on-site locations around the Kansas City metro.

You will lead on-site safety activities, evaluate hazards, and ensure compliance with NFPA 70E, OSHA standards, and site-specific procedures. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in safety or 3+ years’ construction safety experience, OSHA certifications, and strong leadership and communication skills to work with project teams and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety or 3+ years of construction safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E and applicable safety regulations.
• Experience leading on-site safety teams and coordinating with project staff.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive safety culture and manage on-site safety administration.
• Lead the on-site safety team and set expectations for subordinates.
• Collaborate with project teams to plan activities addressing risks.
• Assist the Regional Safety Director in controlling hazards and unsafe activities.
• Review safety, health and environmental plans with project personnel.
• Provide coordination to ensure best practices during pre-planning and construction.
• Evaluate project safety daily via inspections and reports; document resolutions.
• Develop trainings on Fall Protection, NFPA70E LOTO, Aerial Lift, etc.
• Respond to incidents with detailed reports and follow-up actions.
• Review JHA’s, Permits, EAPs, MOP’s, and SOPs; support investigations.
• Oversee on-site incident reviews with contractors to prevent injuries.
• Compile site observations and corrective action documentation.
• Conduct or assist in incident investigations and JHA/HPI processes.
• Train field supervisors in incident investigations.
• Document violations and unsafe conditions; report accordingly.
• Accompany OSHA safety officers on site visits as required.
• Oversee PPE availability and proper usage.
• May respond to emergencies; may require after-hours work.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
