Job summary

Bristol Companies seeks an on-site Construction Surveillance Engineer Technician (CSET) to provide oversight, QA, and technical support for NAVFAC projects. The role ensures compliance with contract specs, codes, and safety standards, and acts as the government’s on-site representative monitoring performance and daily activity.

The CSET reviews plans, submittals, and schedules, inspects workmanship, and coordinates with NAVFAC engineers and project managers to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years in a Quality Control Manager or Superintendent role on NAVFAC/USACE projects or ten (10) years as a Foreman in carpentry, electrical, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, or concrete on large projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site construction oversight and QA for NAVFAC projects.
• Monitor contractor performance and verify work progress daily.
• Review design plans, submittals, and schedules for compliance and constructability.
• Inspect workmanship and materials, identifying and resolving technical issues with NAVFAC engineers.
• Prepare CRRs and maintain contractor quality documentation.
