Job summary

Clark Construction seeks a Construction Quality Control Manager in Houston, TX to ensure project work conforms to contract documents and owner requirements while adhering to codes. The role leads the quality program, coordinates with QA teams, and manages submittals, testing, and inspections on active sites.

You will oversee the quality control plan, train staff, and collaborate with management to maintain high standards across commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree from four-year accredited college or university program in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or Building Science.
• 5+ years construction experience AND at least two years’ experience as a QC Manager would be ideal.
• Demonstrate experience leading supervision or quality control teams on commercial projects.
• Must be able to manage other inspectors, as well as coordinate independent material testing and lab work.
• Ability to process a large volume of submittals.
• Prior experience developing Quality Control Plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project Quality program and coordinate with the owner’s Quality Assurance team to provide timely information for construction operations.
• Prepare, implement and manage the Quality Control Plan.
• Oversee the Three Phases of Control.
• Oversee submittal review and approval.
• Establish testing procedures in accordance with contract specifications.
• Execute inspections and coordinate third party testing agents.
• Maintain project deficiency logs and control quality documentation.
• Schedule and conduct quality control meetings and coordinate with executives.
• Support staff training and development.
