Job summary

BB&E is seeking a Construction Engineering Technician to support NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic on-site at Naval Station Great Lakes, IL. The role focuses on construction quality management, safety oversight, and technical support across complex design and construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have US citizenship and relevant QA/safety experience, with NAVFAC/USACE project exposure considered a strong plus. On-site responsibilities include coordinating QC activities and ensuring compliance with

Qualifications

• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a CAC are required.
• Construction QA and Safety management experience is preferred.
• Experience with NAVFAC or USACE projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate construction quality management program for assigned projects.
• Review contractor quality control plans and participate in QA meetings.
• Monitor three-phase QC checklists and assist with testing and commissioning of critical systems.
• Review AHAs with the Site Safety and Health Officer and ensure contractor compliance.
• Support safety program activities, including safety stand-downs and incident reporting.
• Coordinate field support on technical reviews, schedules, submittals, and environmental compliance.
