Job summary

BB&E is seeking a Construction Engineering Technician to support NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic projects, assisting with facilities design and construction on-site in NS Newport, Newport, RI. The role emphasizes quality control, safety oversight, and technical support across multiple trades on a federal contract.

Qualifications

US citizenship may be required for federal contract work.
USACE Construction CQM Certification within 60 days of start date is required.

Responsibilities

Coordinate construction quality management for projects and review QC plans with the Construction Manager.
Attend relevant meetings and monitor three-phase checklists for accuracy and completeness.
Ensure safety program compliance, review AHAs, and manage site safety assessments and reports.
Support technical coordination, permits, scheduling, and field coordination with NAVFAC and contractors.
Review contract drawings and specs, assist with design constructability and field condition reviews.
