Job summary

BB&E Consulting Engineers & Professionals is seeking a Construction Engineering Technician to support NAVFAC programs, on-site at Naval Station Great Lakes, IL. The role focuses on QA, safety management, and technical support across multiple systems.

The successful candidate will have US citizenship, completion of USACE CQM certification within 60 days, and familiarity with NAVFAC crane safety standards, with at least 5 years in QC roles on NAVFAC/ACOE projects.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a NACI/CAC.
• Certification: USACE Construction CQM Certification within 60 days.
• Familiar with NAVFAC P-307 crane safety requirements.
• High school diploma is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate construction quality management for assigned projects.
• Review contractor QC plans and attend select QA meetings.
• Monitor testing, inspections, and documentation for compliance.
• Support safety by reviewing AHAs and crane plans with the CM.
• Assist with on-site field coordination and documentation.
