Job summary

Placed is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a major construction project in Kansas City. This is a site-based role where you will act as the key company representative on the project and take ownership of delivery.

You will manage the project from planning through construction and closeout, coordinate with the client, subcontractors and the wider project team, and oversee budgets, schedules, procurement and documentation to keep the project moving.

Qualifications

• Experience independently managing projects and subcontractors.
• Comfortable taking ownership and being the key representative on site.
• Strong client facing and communication skills.
• Experience on technically complex or mission critical projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Managing the project from planning through construction and closeout
• Acting as the primary on site point of contact
• Managing subcontractors and coordinating project teams
• Overseeing budgets, schedules, procurement and project documentation
• Managing RFIs, submittals and change orders
• Monitoring project progress, costs and key milestones
• Working closely with field leadership to resolve issues and keep the project moving
• Maintaining strong client relationships throughout delivery
• Ensuring quality and safety expectations are maintained
