Job summary

Jacobs in Cortlandt Manor, NY is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead field coordination on large building and civil projects. You will support the Senior Project Manager with RFI tracking, contract document reviews, forecasts, change-order reviews, and payment applications while ensuring QA/QC and safety standards on site.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field and 10+ years of experience delivering projects over $10 million, with familiarity of UBC and OSHA 30.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction related field.
• 10+ years professional experience on large building construction or civil projects valued above $10 million.
• Knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction delivery systems and components.
• Experience inspecting large scale building construction projects.
• Knowledge of Uniform Building Code.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, CPM schedules, Microsoft Project and P6.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Project Manager with RFI tracking, contract document reviews and forecast activities.
• Prepare change order reviews and review of payments.
• Support payment applications and prepare meeting minutes and regular reports.
• Perform field inspections and ensure QA/QC compliance, safety and security requirements.
• Coordinate the progression of trades and design-field staff on active projects.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor activities to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
