Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead on-site coordination for large-building/civil projects in Cortlandt Manor, NY. You will oversee RFIs, change orders, and payments, supporting the Senior PM to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of experience on major projects over $10 million, knowledge of UBC, and OSHA 30 certification, plus proficiency with CPM, MS Project, P6, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction related field.
• 10+ years of professional experience on large building construction or civil projects valued above $10 million.
• Knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, delivery systems, and components.
• Experience or training in inspecting large scale building construction projects.
• Knowledgeable and experienced with Uniform Building Code.
• Possess an OSHA 30 certification.
• Understand Microsoft Office Applications, CPM schedules, Microsoft Project and P6 programs.
• Proficient in basic computer skills utilizing Microsoft Windows and Office applications and scheduling applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective, skilled project management to help reduce project costs and add value by applying PM techniques.
• Coordinate progression of trades and design-field staff on active projects.
• Support the Senior Project Manager with RFI tracking, contract document review, forecast and cost scheduling, and change order review.
• Assist with payment applications review and meeting minutes; prepare regular reports and field inspections as required.
• Ensure project moves ahead to completion per client standards; monitor contractor and subcontractor activities for QA/QC, safety, and security.
