Job summary

Centex Construction is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee restoration and new construction projects in the DC metro area. You will coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders, manage on-site activities, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.

The role requires DC municipal experience, a strong background in larger renovations, and a track record of leading teams.

Qualifications

• DC Municipal Experience navigating Washington, DC's permitting, inspections, regulatory approvals, and municipal processes.
• Experience independently managing construction or renovation projects valued at $750K+; budgeting, scheduling, change orders, and client relationships.
• Minimum six years of construction project management experience, preferably with occupied multifamily or commercial renovations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience preferred.
• Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication; leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of restoration and construction projects, ensuring work is completed on schedule and within budget.
• Manage project schedules, resources, and ensure materials and equipment are available as needed.
• Maintain readiness to respond to job sites across DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
• Coordinate work between subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.
• Lead and supervise on-site personnel to maintain high standards of quality and productivity.
• Enforce safety protocols; conduct regular safety meetings and inspections per OSHA and local standards.
• Monitor quality of construction work; ensure compliance with specs and building codes.
• Track project expenses and monitor budget to prevent overruns.
• Address and resolve on-site issues promptly; manage scope changes with clients.
• Order and deliver materials and equipment on time and in proper condition.
• Act as primary contact for clients, architects, engineers, and stakeholders with updates.
• Maintain records of daily logs, progress reports, and changes.
