Job summary

Centex Construction seeks a Construction Project Manager to oversee restoration and construction projects across the DC metro area. You will lead on-site teams, coordinate with subcontractors and vendors, monitor safety, budgets, and schedules, and report progress to the Market Director.

The role demands six years PM experience, a construction management degree or equivalent, and the ability to work weekends/holidays. Full-time position with a competitive base salary and bonus potential.

Qualifications

• DC Municipal Experience: navigating DC permitting, inspections, and municipal processes.
• Project Experience: independently managing construction or renovation projects valued at $750K+ with budgets, scheduling, and client relations.
• Years of Experience: minimum six years in construction PM, preferably in occupied multifamily/commercial renovations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends/holidays.
• MS Office Suite proficiency including Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities to manage multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of restoration and construction projects, ensuring work is on schedule and within budget.
• Manage project schedules, resources, and ensure materials/equipment are available as needed.
• Maintain readiness to respond to job sites across DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
• Coordinate work among subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders for timely completion.
• Lead on-site personnel to maintain quality and productivity.
• Enforce safety protocols; conduct safety meetings and inspections per OSHA/local standards.
• Monitor quality, compliance with specs/building codes.
• Track expenses and budgets to prevent overruns.
• Address on-site issues promptly and effectively.
• Ensure materials/equipment are ordered and delivered on time.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, architects, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records like logs, progress reports, and changes.
