Job summary

Planate Management Group is seeking an experienced Construction Management Representative for on-site duties in Anniston, Alabama. You will oversee construction progress, safety, submittals, and contract changes, with a focus on QA/QC and documentation.

This is contingent on award with about a one-year term and possible extension. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in construction or engineering and OSHA 30 certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or any engineering discipline.
• Minimum of three (3) years of professional construction experience including management, monitoring, inspection, or related activities.
• Read, interpret, and apply construction contracts, plans, drawings, and specifications.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training completed.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations; conduct inspections and reviews.
• Ability to evaluate cost estimates and contractor proposals including labor, equipment, materials, overhead and profit.
• Define, document, and track scope changes; support negotiations between Government and contractors.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PDF tools, Project scheduling, and CM software.

Responsibilities

• Arrange, attend, facilitate, and document weekly progress meetings and government/contractor negotiations.
• Attend contractor safety meetings and log progress notes within one day.
• Observe construction progress for quality and contract conformance; produce daily reports.
• Take photographs for daily logs with legends and notes.
• Monitor contractor safety plans and document safety issues.
• Review and verify baseline and progress schedules; complete DSC checklists.
• Review payrolls for compliance with DOL requirements.
• Review monthly payment requests and supporting documentation.
• Receive, log, review, and track submittals and RFIs; assist in resolution.
• Review daily reports, O&M manuals, warranties; facilitate inspections and contract changes.
