Responsibilities

  • Understands the project budget including subcontracts, allowances, contingencies, and General Conditions for delivering the project.
  • Knows and understands the requirements of owner’s contract, including insurances, fees, notifications, schedules, reporting, and costs.
  • Knows and understands each subcontractor’s scope of work and requirements by contract. Maintain control of field work tickets and clearly communicate with Project Manager regarding additional scope request required for completion of project.
  • Collaborates with Gallant Project Manager, subcontractors, and suppliers to create a project schedule inclusive of all major activities, deliverables, milestones, and completion activities
  • Participates in team organization, roles & responsibility review at the start of each project and understands the resources needed for the project (e.g., people, systems, tools, internal and external services)
  • Participates in internal and external project Kickoff meetings
  • Reviews the contract documents with all project participants (e.g., Client, owner vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, government regulators, utilities) to ensure work is completed to meet the project timeline and budget
  • Participates in the project submittal & shop drawing review process and demonstrates an excellent understanding of general constructability concepts and coordination of multiple discipline assemblies/details
  • Coordinates and delivers all requirements for subcontractors and vendors to meet project schedules on largescale and/or complex projects
  • Responsible for managing project(s) activities and daily operations in a clean and safe working environment
  • Responsible for FULL TIME job site presence and supervision of all work activities and maintains the overall project schedule, milestone dates, and schedule impact items.Reviews with project staff each week and has ownership of field responsibilities, execution, and follow-up plans
  • Responsible for actively participating in weekly Owner/Architect meetings with updated project information (e.g., Three-week Lookahead Schedules, RFI, Submittal, Quality, CO Logs…)
  • Responsible for generating Request for Information (RFIs) with proper Document reference/validation, documented field conditions, proposed resolution, and potential impacts
  • Establishes relationships and communication tools as needed with subcontractors and other key people to verify all project milestones are delivered when necessary. Ensures that all understand performance standards, quality and expectations
  • Ensures that project site and team are secure and always maintains a safe and respectful working environment by implementing programs for safety (jobsite safety review ms/audits), risk management, training, and quality control
  • Conducts on-site Daily/Weekly coordination meetings with subcontractor foreman to review all upcoming work activities, quality and project manpower needs to accomplish all planned activities
  • Leads all field coordination efforts related to building/property management, material deliveries, utility shutdowns, afterhours work activities and inspections
  • Capable of managing and teaching Assistant Superintendent/Field Engineer on the project site
  • Provide oversight and management of Project Closeout Documentation ensuring compliance with project requirements and timely delivery (Record drawings, TAB, Final Inspections, Certificate of Occupancy)
  • Builds effective relationships with customers, design teams, subcontractors, vendors, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds the customer’s expectations
  • Actively participates in industry, client, and community relations to enhance company image
  • Promotes our vision and purpose through service to our clients
  • Serves as a role model and promotes professional behavior and leadership in Safety
  • Facilitates Training Courses and participates in operation’s training/mentoring programs and commits to the development of company personnel and of self
  • Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and criminal background check
  • Be able to provide valid identification for the I-9 Immigration document
  • Display a professional and courteous attitude
  • Report to work at the designated start time
  • Must be willing and able to travel to work sites, which are in different locations around our division
  • Be willing to work overtime, nights, and weekends when necessary
  • Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures. Responsible for reporting to management/safety personnel or stopping work if needed due to any issue or activity, etc. that could result in an injury or death to
