Job summary

SB CONCRETE LLC is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the on-site execution of construction projects. You will assist the Superintendent, coordinate daily operations, manage schedules, and liaise with project teams and clients to maintain progress.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and compliance, with responsibilities including supervising subcontractors, updating plans, documenting daily reports, and ensuring milestones are met across varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or higher in Construction Management or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a construction supervisory role, preferably as a foreman or assistant superintendent.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and technical documents.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work on construction sites in various weather conditions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline is a plus.
• Experience with project management software such as Procore, PlanGrid, or Microsoft Project is preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour safety certification or equivalent safety training is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams on large-scale construction projects.
• Familiarity with sustainable building practices and LEED certification processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in planning, organizing, and directing construction activities on-site to ensure project milestones are met.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and laborers to maintain efficient workflow and adherence to project specifications.
• Monitor daily progress and quality of work, conducting regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to update schedules, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, safety logs, and material inventories to support project tracking and reporting.
