Job summary

Clark Construction Group seeks an Assistant Superintendent to oversee self-performed and subcontracted work, ensuring compliance with contract documents and project schedules while fostering a safety- and quality-driven culture.

You will coordinate field operations for specific trades, ensure work aligns with planned sequences, and enforce safety and quality control procedures across the project site. This hands-on role demands leadership and proactive problem solving.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, architecture, CM or related field.
• 3+ years of construction management experience in a field supervisory role.
• Ability to direct the work of others including subcontractors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate installation of work per contract documents, project schedule and sequence.
• Know the Contract Documents and scope of work for assigned area(s) or trade(s).
• Understand activity durations and plan accordingly.
• Plan equipment use and optimize utilization.
• Track material and equipment delivery dates affecting area(s) / trades.
• Lead field crew to optimize costs, manage budgets and corrective actions.
