Job summary

Clark Construction seeks an Assistant Superintendent in San Antonio, TX to oversee self-performed and subcontracted work, ensuring adherence to contract documents and the project schedule while driving a culture of safety and quality on site.

You will supervise field crews, coordinate deliveries, manage subcontractor relationships, and enforce safety standards to keep projects on track and within budget.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction management experience in a field supervisory role.
• Ability to direct the work of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Knowledge of scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and manpower.
• Strong safety knowledge and OSHA familiarity with on-site implementation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate installation of work per contract documents, schedule, and planned sequence; track milestone dates.
• Know the Contract Documents and the scope for assigned areas/trades.
• Develop an understanding of activity durations.
• Plan use of equipment and optimize utilization.
• Know material/equipment delivery dates affecting assigned areas/trades.
• Supervise field workforce; manage budgets and remediate cost variances.
• Implement the safety program; conduct inspections; enforce safety standards.
• Maintain good relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
