Job summary

Clark Construction Group is seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations on large commercial projects. You will oversee self-performed and contracted work, ensuring compliance with contract documents and the project schedule while fostering a culture of safety and quality.

You will manage sequencing, logistics, and KPI tracking, mentor teams, and build strong stakeholder relationships. The role requires navigating high-pressure environments and maintaining professionalism on behalf of Clark

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience on large-scale commercial construction projects.
• Experience building high-rise residential, mixed-use, or higher education projects from start to finish.
• 2+ years leading, developing, and motivating teams.
• In-depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and personnel.
• Demonstrated experience leading field operations and communicating plans across multiple audiences.
• Working knowledge of safety and building regulations (OSHA).
• Alignment to Clark Standards of Excellence: self-motivated, ethical, results-oriented, adaptable, team player.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the timely and quality installation of contracted work for the project or a scope, trade, or portion.
• Instill a culture of safety and quality among Clark employees and trade contractors and conduct regular safety inspections.
• Create and manage a plan to sequence work, manage jobsite logistics, and track materials and personnel.
• Ensure high quality of work consistent with project and company standards.
• Take initiative to deliver project on schedule and on budget.
• Develop, update, and communicate the project schedule and milestones to stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop team members to build a high performing team.
• Cultivate strong relationships with all project stakeholders.
• Maintain professionalism in meetings and communications on behalf of Clark.
• Possess working knowledge of owner contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements.
• Assist in staff charts, general conditions, project costs, and KPI understanding.
• Participate in close-out activities including punch lists and operations training.
• Demonstrate advanced problem-solving to overcome obstacles, issues, and conflicts.
