Job summary

Hensel Phelps in Cheyenne, WY is seeking an Assistant Construction Superintendent to ensure safe project completion within budget and schedule, upholding company quality standards. You will work with the Construction Superintendent on safety compliance, craft supervision, trade coordination, scheduling, material handling, and documentation.

Qualifications include a High School diploma, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred, and at least five years in construction management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field preferred.
• Five years of construction management or related field experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to function in a high-performance team environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is integrated into planning and execution by enforcing policies.
• Coordinate with Foreman to create AHAs/STAs for self-performed work.
• Review AHAs for trade partners and ensure compliance.
• Develop material handling and site utilization plans for specific areas.
• Coordinate with Project Coordinator on material needs and RFIs.
• Support weekly scheduling meetings with trade partners and foremen.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping, project logs, and cost records.
• Inspect received materials for quantity and quality and sign receiving tickets.
• Oversee quality control for Company and subcontractors.
