Job summary

Consigli Construction Co. in Raleigh, NC seeks an Assistant Superintendent to help manage daily on-site construction activities within our Field Operations division.

You will assist with safety programs, review drawings, coordinate self-perform and subcontractor work, and support project scheduling and reporting. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering, 0–5 years of experience, and OSHA 30 certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering is required.
• 0–5 years in construction or related field with knowledge of plans and specs.
• OSHA 30 certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Help administer project safety program to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Interprets contract drawings and submittals to support on-site activities.
• Oversees select self-perform and subcontractor operations including safety, budget, schedule, and quality.
• Assist Superintendent with daily/weekly tasks: reports, safety walks, quantity reports, and schedule updates.
• Understand the project schedule and critical path; contribute to short-term planning.
• Participate in quality program: inspections and material verification.
• Interface with client reps, A/E representatives, other contractors and officials.
• Assist in business development and initiate leads for future projects.
• Attend superintendent meetings and safety trainings; grow toward independent supervision.
