Job summary

Skanska USA is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to oversee on-site field operations, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and profitable project delivery. You will supervise labor, enforce the Safety and Health Management Program, and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, and subcontractors.

The role emphasizes leadership, organization, and client-facing communication, with opportunities to grow through mentorship and exposure to multi-disciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven construction experience.
• 3+ years’ experience administering safety and QC policies with the ability to learn the Skanska Safety and QAQC Culture.
• 1+ year working with schedule milestones and look-ahead schedules.
• 1+ year assisting with job site logistics and management.
• 1+ year tracking COs and tickets.
• 1+ year working with plans and specs.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day supervision of field crews and inspection of subcontractor work for contract compliance.
• Develop and maintain site logistics and short-term schedules; monitor labor and material costs.
• Prepare superintendent daily reports and participate in project meetings.
• Review trade contractor payment applications with leadership; track change orders and tickets.
• Mentor team members to support an injury-free environment.
