Job summary

AECOM is seeking an on-site Construction Inspector to support County of Maui, State of Hawaii, and Federal projects and programs.

The role requires hands-on inspection of contractor work, review of construction documentation, and interpretation of contract plans. You will track progress, attend meetings, and maintain complete project records while serving as a technical expert across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC. Mobility on site and adherence to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• HS plus 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspection of Contractor’s Work and review of construction documentation to ensure compliance with contract plans and specifications.
• Provide on-site inspection and opinion on compliance with contract plans, specifications, and requirements.
• Site progress tracking: review project schedule, monitor field progress, report delays to Project Manager.
• Attend preparatory meetings and participate in inspection process.
• Establish and maintain comprehensive project records and documentation.
• Serve as technical expert in field inspections for electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC, and act as go-to expert.
• Provide direction for inspections to ensure consistency and adherence to quality standards.
