Job summary

Cadence McShane Construction Company is seeking a Field Engineer to support on-site supervision and project execution. You will assist the Project Superintendent, coordinate subcontractors, enforce OSHA safety standards, and help manage timelines and budgets.

The role requires strong communication and the ability to read drawings, site plans, and technical drawings. Full-time, in-office with flexible hours to meet deadlines, based in Texas. Benefits include healthcare, 401(k) with match, and PTO.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of construction management experience or equivalent
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, design consultants and trade partners
• Proficiency with construction management software including Salus, PlanGrid and Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in overseeing daily construction site operations and activities.
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractor and supplier performance to ensure compliance with project specifications and schedules.
• Enforce safety protocols and company policies to maintain a secure work environment for all personnel.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality, cleanliness, and adherence to plans and standards.
• Support the Project Superintendent in holding site meetings, maintaining logs, and documenting site progress.
• Facilitate timely delivery and storage of materials, tools, and equipment.
• Identify and report potential issues, risks, or discrepancies to the Project Superintendent promptly.
• Develop quality control correction list in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Assist with the implementation of project schedules and adjust as directed to address project needs.
• Foster positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors on site.
