Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Site EHS Representative to serve as the on-site safety resource for multiple construction projects in the Washington, DC metro area. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations while promoting a strong culture of safety on every phase of construction.

The role focuses on field observations, inspections, audits, and safety reporting, collaborating with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and field personnel

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Certification required.
• OSHA 510 Certification required.
• EM385 Certification or ability to obtain EM385.
• First Aid/CPR/AED Certification.
• 3+ years of construction safety experience; 3-5 years in safety roles.
• Experience conducting site inspections and safety observations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections and audits.
• Perform field observations and document findings.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EM385, and project-specific safety requirements.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns.
• Provide safety training and toolbox talks.
• Develop and maintain safety documentation and reports.
• Communicate corrective actions and follow up on implementation.
• Partner with project teams to proactively identify and mitigate hazards.
• Support safety initiatives across multiple active projects.
• Promote a positive and collaborative safety culture.
