Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing seeks a Safety Manager in Washington, DC to lead safety across multiple active construction projects. Expect frequent field visits, mentoring onsite safety reps, and ensuring OSHA and EM 385 compliance on federal, military, and commercial sites.

You will develop safety programs, conduct audits and incident investigations, review JHAs/AHAs and safety plans, and drive workforce safety training. Requires OSHA 30, EM 385-1-1, First Aid/CPR/AED, and 5+ years' experience.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Construction Certification.
• EM 385-1-1 Training/Certification.
• Current First Aid / CPR / AED Certification.
• Minimum 5+ Years of Construction Safety Experience.
• Previous Safety Management Experience Required.
• Experience Managing Multiple Construction Sites Simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety leadership across multiple active construction projects.
• Manage and mentor onsite safety representatives assigned to project sites.
• Maintain a strong field presence through routine site visits and observations.
• Develop, implement, and manage company safety programs and initiatives.
• Conduct site audits, inspections, observations, and hazard assessments.
• Lead accident investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EM 385, client, and project-specific requirements.
• Review JHAs, AHAs, and safety plans.
• Conduct safety training, orientations, and workforce engagement activities.
• Work directly with project managers, superintendents, and field leadership.
• Track safety performance metrics and reporting requirements.
• Promote a proactive safety culture across all assigned projects.

Education

OSHA 30 Construction Certification

EM 385-1-1 Training/Certification

First Aid / CPR / AED Certification

Minimum 5+ Years of Construction Safety Experience

Previous Safety Management Experience
