Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Site EHS Representative in Washington, DC for a full-time, direct-hire role on a long-term construction project. Salary ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 annually with bonus potential and full benefits; schedule is Monday–Friday, ~40 hours/week.

The role focuses on boots-on-the-ground safety support, field observations, inspections, and collaboration with project leadership to strengthen safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Certification required.
• EM385 Certification required.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification.
• Minimum 3+ years of construction safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong field presence throughout active work areas.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and project-specific safety requirements.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions.
• Conduct and support safety training activities.
• Reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel and supervision.
• Review work activities and monitor compliance with safety procedures.
• Coordinate safety activities with project management and field leadership.
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective action implementation; maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports.
• Support implementation and enforcement of company safety policies.
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project.
