Job summary

Flad Architects seeks an on-site Construction Administrator to support UC-Berkeley projects in San Francisco, CA. The role emphasizes field observations, contract administration, and coordination with the project team on a daily basis.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction administration for large commercial projects, with proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and PM software. On-site work Mon-Fri; benefits include health insurance and PTO.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of Construction Administration experience on large-scale commercial projects.
• Understanding of sustainable design principles; LEED or Green Globes preferred.

Responsibilities

• On-site observations of facilities, general project and contract administration, payment requests, and change approvals.
• Provide prompt service regarding interpretations, decisions, and construction bulletins.
• Review RFIs and submittals; coordinate with design team for resolutions.
• Monitor construction changes, shop drawings and other submissions by the contractor.
• Review shop drawings and document non-conforming work with corrective actions.
• Coordinate outside consultants as needed to complete the project.
• Facilitate timely communication among owner, contractor, project manager, and Flad team members.
