Job summary

CLMI Group, LLC in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Construction Accounting Specialist (AR/AP) to manage accounts receivable and payable for multifamily development projects. This on-site role requires construction industry accounting experience, job costing, lien releases, and fast-paced coordination with project teams.

The ideal candidate will handle vendor invoices, owner billings, draw requests, and labor/pay applications, while maintaining accurate project accounting and supporting month-end

Qualifications

• 3+ years of AR/AP experience in construction, multifamily or residential development.
• Strong job costing, lien releases, and pay application knowledge.
• Proficient in Excel; experience with Sage 300 CRE, Procore, Viewpoint/Vista or Foundation is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple deadlines and high transaction volume.
• On-site full-time role in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor and subcontractor invoices with proper project coding.
• Prepare owner billings, draw requests, and pay applications (AIA G702/G703 preferred).
• Track subcontractor documents: lien releases, COIs, W-9s.
• Reconcile pay applications against contracts, COs, and retention.
• Process checks, ACH, and wires; manage payment schedules.
• Monitor AR aging and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Assist with monthly job cost reports and budget-to-actual reconciliations.
• Maintain project accounting files; support month-end/year-end close.
• Coordinate with PMs on budgets, change orders, and cost coding.
• Support payroll compliance reporting as needed.
• Respond to vendor/client inquiries regarding invoices and status.
