Job summary

Sun Communities, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Community Manager in Austin, TX to oversee daily operations, profitability, and on-site resident relations.

You will lead leasing, maintenance coordination, budgeting, and staff oversight while ensuring compliance with fair housing laws and company policies. The role requires a minimum of 4 years in property management with supervisory experience and a proven ability to drive occupancy and revenue.

Qualifications

• 4 years in property management experience, including 2 years of supervisory experience.
• 6 months in prior sales and leasing experience.
• General knowledge of maintenance.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid negotiation skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local fair housing/employment laws.
• Proficient with MS Office and internet

Responsibilities

• Markets models, pre-owned and brokered homes for sale in the community and prepares documents to list and sell homes.
• Resolves complaints and responds to issues in a timely manner.
• Manages rent collection, posting and depositing income from leasing; pursues delinquent debts.
• Handles delinquencies and eviction proceedings per company policy.
• Monitors, codes and approves invoices for operating and sales costs.
• Coordinates team selection, development and ensures policy compliance.
• Assists with developing and maintaining marketing strategies.
• Coordinates lease homes, repairs, leasing activity, lease-to-purchase, refurbishments and re-leasing.
• Ensures compliance with fair housing laws and employment laws.
• Initiates lease renewals and rent increase letters.
• Inspects and recommends purchase/renovation of homes.
• Prepares sites for home models and coordinates with maintenance for move-ins.
• Handles onsite emergencies per SOPs and safety policies.
• Completes workers' compensation paperwork promptly.
• Maintains Sun curb appeal standards and budgets input for CapEx/expansion.
• Reports deficiencies affecting community operations and compiles property accounting reports.
• All other duties as assigned.
