Job summary

SOLV Energy, a leading provider of infrastructure services for solar, battery storage, and high‑voltage projects, seeks an Assistant Commissioning Manager to lead on-site commissioning activities in the Midwest. You will manage the commissioning team, coordinate with engineering, construction and QA, and ensure tests meet safety and performance standards for HV, BESS and PV systems.

Qualifications

• This role requires 3+ years of experience in testing and commissioning on utility-scale electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Proven ability to manage project teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project commissioning team, providing guidance and support for task execution.
• Report daily on the status of each project assigned to the Commissioning Manager.
• Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and milestones aligned with contract and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with OEM suppliers on equipment testing and commissioning activities.
• Ensure integration with engineering, construction, and QA teams throughout commissioning.
• Develop and maintain scheduling for testing and commissioning, updating weekly.
• Prepare daily commissioning reports and document issues and corrective actions.
• Lead safety and quality efforts, ensuring site compliance with all procedures.
