Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Commissioning Manager to lead the testing and commissioning of HV, BESS, and PV systems on Midwest job sites.

You will coordinate with commissioning engineers, manage schedules, and ensure safety and quality standards are met throughout commissioning and project closeout. Travel is required, and the role reports to the Commissioning Manager while enabling a seamless transition from commissioning to project completion.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in testing and commissioning of utility-scale electrical systems.
• Knowledge of HV/MV switching, protection, and grounding systems.
• Experience with safety programs (LOTO) and equipment tagging.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project commissioning team with guidance and training.
• Report daily on status to the Commissioning Manager.
• Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, and QA teams.
• Prepare daily commissioning reports and capture lessons learned.
• Ensure compliance with safety, NFPA/NEC, and environmental standards.
• Manage pre-commissioning, cold/warm/hot tests, and project acceptance testing.
