Job summary

UFP Technologies, Inc. in Dover, NH is seeking a mid-senior CNC Machinist to fabricate fixtures, molds, and parts with tight tolerances. You will program CNC equipment, set up machines, and perform precision inspections to ensure conformance with drawings and GD&T standards.

The role requires hands-on experience with lathes, milling machines, CNC centers, and CMM tools, with a focus on quality, process improvement, and safety in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC machining experience preferred; High School Diploma required.
• Hands-on experience with lathes, milling machines, and CNC machining centers.
• Knowledge of machining speeds and feeds, tolerances, GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates fixtures, molds, and machine parts from aluminum, plastic, and stainless steel using Bridgeport Milling, CNC centers, and manual tools.
• Creates precision fits using True Position Tolerancing and precision reamers.
• Conducts precision inspection with micrometers, calipers, CMM scanning, and optical comparator.
• Prepares and maintains CMM inspection programs per ASME Y14.5; GD&T requirements.
• Assesses drawings for manufacturing feasibility and suggests design changes.
• Selects and purchases raw materials, tools, and fixtures to sustain fabrication throughput.
• Maintains and documents shop equipment, and plans preventative maintenance.
• Assembles and tests automated machines per engineering drawings and Solidworks models.
