Job summary

Welch Fluorocarbon, a UFP Technologies company, is seeking a mid to senior level Machinist/Toolmaker for its Dover, NH facility. The role involves machining fixtures, molds, and precision parts using Bridgeport, HAAS VM3, and other CNC equipment, with setup, CAM programming, and in-process inspection responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC machining experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T
• Hands-on experience with lathes, milling machines, and CNC machining centers
• Experience programming CNC toolpaths for part fabrication
• Experience with CMM scanning and probing equipment; PC-DMIS preferred
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and quality

Responsibilities

• Fabricates fixtures, molds, and machine parts from aluminum, plastic, and stainless steel on Bridgeport Milling, manual lathe, HAAS VM3 and HAAS MiniMill
• Creates precision slip and interference fits of dowel pins for part interchangeability
• Performs precision inspection using micrometers, digital calipers, CMM scanning/probe equipment, optical comparator, and Keyence inspection system
• Prepares and maintains CMM inspection programs per ASME/ANSI Y14.5; GD&T tolerance analysis
• Maintains shop tools and equipment and develops preventative maintenance plans
• Assembles and tests automated machines per Engineering drawings and Solidworks models
• Ensures shop areas are clean and safe; trains employees on shop safety
