Job summary

The Oryza Group, LLC is seeking a Civilian Payroll Specialist to support USARCENT civilian payroll and time-and-attendance actions from Shaw AFB, SC. The role requires handling case intake, validation, transactions, and audit-ready records in a government environment.

Responsibilities include reviewing pay actions, coordinating in government systems, reconciling data, and addressing discrepancies while maintaining customer communication. On-site work, security clearance will be required.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of federal civilian payroll, time-and-attendance, or related payroll-administration experience.
• Experience researching pay discrepancies, reconciling records, and protecting PII.
• Familiarity with DFAS civilian pay processes and Government payroll/timekeeping systems is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and solid customer communication skills; able to meet recurring cutoffs and suspenses.
• Payroll, accounting, or HR education/certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review civilian pay and timekeeping actions for completeness, accuracy, and proper authorization.
• Process or coordinate authorized actions in Government systems and track items to completion.
• Reconcile payroll, time, leave, and related data and resolve discrepancies.
• Provide status and guidance to customers within authority.
• Apply independent review to high-impact pay actions and maintain supporting evidence.
• Track recurring errors and suggest process or training improvements.
