Job summary

The Bizzell Group in Guthrie, Oklahoma is seeking a hands-on CDSS department manager to oversee career preparation, counseling, and transition readiness on-site. The role ensures compliance with DOL guidelines, PRH, and Center policies while directing interviewing, hiring, training, and performance monitoring.

You will supervise staff, foster employer referrals, and strengthen community outreach; lead staff meetings, analyze performance data, and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with advance Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
• Strong knowledge of the subject area of instruction and academic teaching practices.

Responsibilities

• Plans organize, administers, and measures work activities performed by the CDSS department.
• Supervises all employment activities, including recruitment, testing, reference checking, and related employment matters.
• Ensures approved curriculum is being taught in career preparation training and assigns and supervises staff in areas of responsibility.
• Promotes a positive Job Corps image and increases awareness in the community.
• Develops referral sources through agency and community outreach and promotes job development through direct contact with employers, One-Stops, WIA, and state employment agencies.
• Monitors the delivery of personal and career counseling.
• Audits counseling case notes and folders quarterly.
