Job summary

One Community Health is seeking a Call Center Representative – Per Diem to serve as the welcoming first point of contact at our Midtown Sacramento location. You will process incoming calls, assist callers with establishing care, scheduling and insurance verification, and provide general information about services offered.

Responsibilities include prescreening patients, handling high call volumes with courtesy, directing calls appropriately, updating demographics, and confirming appointments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Typically 1 year in a Call Center/ Customer Service role.
• Strong de-escalation and multitasking abilities.
• Spanish, Dari or Pashto language skills are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prescreen patients by concise, courteous interviews to gather information and determine actions.
• Handle high volume of calls with proper etiquette and workflow processes.
• Direct calls to appropriate person or department and assist caller with requests.
• Determine best handling approach for each call and take necessary action.
• Update patient demographics by asking clear, open-ended questions.
