Job summary

Vallen is seeking an On-site Buyer to operate at a customer location, handling procurement of stock and non-stock items, ensuring price, quality and timely delivery. You will manage forecasts, place orders, and coordinate with suppliers to meet customer needs.

You will build strong supplier relationships, monitor performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities while adhering to LEAN practices and standard operating procedures at the site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance or related field preferred.
• 1+ years procurement experience preferred.
• CPM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Procure products and materials to meet customer demand and supply standards.
• Review inventory forecasts and replenishment recommendations.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor orders.
• Research vendors to ensure quality and pricing compliance.
• Monitor supplier performance and coordinate returns or shortages.
• Communicate order status and issues with customers and vendors.
• Maintain supplier relationships and document cost savings opportunities.
• Follow LEAN practices and company SOPs.
