Join our exciting & dedicated team at Vallen as an On-site Buyer. In this position, you will work at a customer location and will be responsible for purchasing products, goods, and materials to meet price, quality, timing, and supply reliability.

The role emphasizes procurement activities, supplier relations, expeditions, and aligning with Vallen's purchasing strategies. A high school diploma is required; a related bachelor’s is preferred, with 1+ years' experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in Procurement preferred.
• CPM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform procurement activities to ensure customer demand is met and aligned with purchasing strategies.
• Review and approve forecasts and replenishment recommendations.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
• Research and evaluate vendors to meet specifications, pricing, and delivery.
• Negotiate vendor terms and coordinate returns for aging or excess inventory.
• Follow up on purchase orders and communicate status to customers.
