Job summary

Vallen is seeking an On-site Buyer to operate at a customer location, procuring stock and non-stock items to meet price, quality, and delivery standards. The role entails reviewing forecasts, expediting orders, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in procurement, strong MS Office skills, and a customer-service mindset. CPM certification is preferred, and the position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in procurement preferred.
• CPM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Procure products and materials to meet customer demand and align with purchasing strategies.
• Review and approve inventory forecasts from ERP or inventory management applications.
• Manage replenishment recommendations and expedite/de-expedite orders as needed.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
• Research and select vendors to meet quality, price, and delivery standards.
• Monitor supplier performance and coordinate returns or replacements as needed.
• Communicate order statuses to customers and resolve issues with timeliness or quality.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and customers; document cost savings opportunities.
