Job summary

Vallen seeks an On-site Buyer to work at a customer location, purchasing products and materials to meet price, quality, timing and supply reliability. You will review forecasts, place orders, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes customer service, vendor management, and cost-saving opportunities while adhering to Vallen procedures and LEAN methods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ years of procurement experience preferred.
• CPM certification is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency with ERP and Inventory Management applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform procurement to meet customer demand and align with purchasing strategies.
• Review inventory forecasts and replenishment recommendations.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
• Negotiate with vendors and coordinate returns for aging or excess inventory.
• Monitor supplier performance and communicate status to customers.
• Maintain supplier relationships and document cost savings opportunities.
• Follow LEAN practices and maintain a clean, professional worksite.
