Job summary

GDI Ainsworth in Franklin, Tennessee, is looking for an energetic Facilities Maintenance professional to perform routine and specialized maintenance across buildings, equipment, and grounds. This role involves painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and janitorial duties as required by client facilities.

The successful candidate will conduct inspections, perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and oversee contractor work while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• 3+ years' experience in the maintenance field with commercial experience.
• Skills in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and repairing or replacing faulty parts.

Responsibilities

• Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
• Performing preventative maintenance.
• Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
• Performance of specialized maintenance work as required. Examples may include operation and maintenance of heavy machinery e.g. excavators/graders, maintenance of vehicles, basic millwork and carpentry repairs, roadways and grounds maintenance, maintenance of dock locks and levelers, maintenance of door systems, roofing repairs, etc.
• Coordinating and overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
• Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
• Completion of electronic or paper-based records of maintenance tasks.
