GE HealthCare in New Orleans, LA is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to evaluate, diagnose, repair and PM basic biomedical equipment, delivering service excellence and customer satisfaction.

You will work on-site at the client, with relocation assistance provided, and a first-shift schedule. Relocation offered and potential for on-call shifts. Must comply with background checks and immunization requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
• Equivalent military education recognized for qualification.
• Participation in GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program.
• High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years servicing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment.
• Analytical and communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to customers.
• Must pass GEHC background check and post-offer drug test; comply with immunization and additional checks.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.; GE HealthCare will not sponsor visas.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate basic customer biomedical equipment issues and perform repairs, PM and safety inspections.
• Assist more experienced technicians on basic and complex repairs.
• Communicate effectively with teammates and customers.
• Follow GE policies, hospital protocols, and complete required documentation.
• Maintain daily customer communications to ensure resolution and satisfaction.
• Implement GE/customer facility contracts and support business goals.
• Work as part of local team to deliver efficient service across accounts.
• Share on-call responsibilities when trained.
• Document all repair actions and submit reports on schedule.
• Care for spares, tools and test equipment and ensure calibration.
• Continue updating knowledge of standards, codes, and procedures for safe equipment use.
• Use manuals, tech support, Facetime and online resources to answer PM questions.
• Meet HHSE, safety regulations and other applicable regulatory requirements.
