Job summary

Hensel Phelps is hiring a BIM Engineer (entry level) to support design management and VDC initiatives on a full‑time, on‑site basis in El Paso, TX. You will assist in model management, coordination among design, engineering and trades, and contribute to VDC implementation strategies.

The role emphasizes building 3D models, visualizations, and data management while collaborating with field engineers and project teams to ensure project alignment and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or Engineering.
• Expertise with Autodesk programs – AutoCAD and Revit.
• Understanding of VDC/BIM concepts.
• Exposure to BIM systems (Revit, Synchro, Navisworks, SketchUp).
• Excellent MS Office, Acrobat and Bluebeam skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-site training.
• Build knowledge of reality capture methods and data management (laser scanning, sUAS, photogrammetry, LiDAR).
• Support development and execution of VDC project execution plans and strategies.
• Assist in modeling content for visualization and construction from design through construction.
• Coordinate 3D models with design, engineering, trades, and operations.
