Peak View Behavioral Health in Colorado Springs, Colorado is seeking a Billing Specialist (On-Site) to support insurance and self-pay reimbursements. This full-time role focuses on billing, collections, and reporting to maximize reimbursement and hospital cash flow.

The position requires a high school diploma with 2+ years in accounts receivable, preferably in a medical setting; an associate degree is preferred.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associates' degree is preferred.
• Two or more years of business office experience and Accounts Receivable required, preferably in medical/psychiatric setting.
• Knowledge of general office procedures and electronic billing required.

Responsabilidades

• Audits billing records against clinical records before billing and maintains supporting documentation.
• Manages accounts receivable balances; ensures payer sources billed timely and payments made per terms.
• Performs data entry of charges, payments, adjustments; records and balances AR and cash.
• Retrieves and performs electronic billing to insurance companies; makes follow-up calls as required.
