Job summary

Grand America Hotels & Resorts is seeking a part-time Banquet Set-up person in Salt Lake City. You will prepare and arrange banquet space for functions, ensuring everything is set up as per contract specifications.

The role requires teamwork, excellent communication, and flexibility in scheduling. Responsibilities include moving equipment, setting up rooms, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Compensation is $18 per hour with additional benefits as per employer policy.

Qualifications

• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, staying on your feet, climbing stairs, carrying heavyweights.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 30lbs. Push pull or move 300lbs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for moving tables, chairs, staging and any other banquet equipment in a safe manner.
• Set up banquet rooms according to the contract specifications.
• Responsible for the breakdown and storage of furniture and equipment after events.
• Treat guests with courtesy and provide responsive service.
• Communicate with the Catering department regarding event changes.
• Notify management of any pertinent information related to shift activities.
