Job summary

Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City is seeking banquet servers to deliver exceptional food and beverage service at elegant events in our downtown Salt Lake City hotel. You will help set up banquet spaces, present menus, and ensure guest satisfaction in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates will have Serve Safe, Tips, and DABS certifications, plus prior Food & Beverage experience. A flexible schedule including weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Serve Safe and Tips Certification required.
• DABS Certification required.
• Food and Beverage experience is preferred.
• A thorough understanding of Banquet Service preferred.
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule; including morning and afternoon shifts with weekend and holiday availability.

Responsibilities

Event servers are responsible for food and drink service at hotel banquet functions. They make sure function space visually appealing and present the menu offering for the event. This may include linen and table setting, food station design, and beverage service. Other duties include general banquet preparation, room refreshes, and maintaining a sanitary environment.
